I was scheduled in for an appointment with James for a 10 minute appointment to talk through the progress of my rap.

I whipped up just my backing track, 16 bars of a repetitive loop. I felt like I haven’t done any work, but because I felt I was extremely clear in my babystepping and scaffolding, I still didn’t feel stressed about anything because I had a very clear idea.

James said that I didn’t need to stick to chords in the babysteps that much and that I could be a bit more adventurous with my chord progressions and that if I added more instrumental layers, It would be more interesting. I will take that in consideration when I finish up composing my rap.
